What was the other damage they found? Is it totaled?

Doesn't surprise me that they found more damage. The deeper you get, the more you see. I worked on a car that should have been totaled but the body shop had fixed some of it and took a draw from the insurance. Because they were invested in the car the insurance approved the rest of the repairs. Perhaps you may fall into a similar situation. If it has to be, do the diff yourself. The body shop is probably charging three times what it would cost you. Just don't let them total it and haul it away.

If they do total it, you should have an option to buy it back. I think I could buy my NB back for like $2k, but by then I'd robbed most of my parts and just let it go.

It is hard to let something you have poured hard work into it, as well as all the fun drives you've enjoyed. What ever the outcome I'm sure you will consider the money and effort you are will to spend and make the best choice.

Heard from the insurance company and heard something I did not think I was going to hear. The are going to pay for the complete repair of the car including the additional $1900.00 in damage. All I got to do is figure out why teh engine won't start. Stay tuned.
