    Re: Frame Rails

I had the door bars attached to my roll bar. Damn was that noticeably stiffer!

I thank you guys and I think I will take your advice and pass on the rails. I will now start collecting the parts to complete my front end rebuild. That will be the bumps stops front and back, control arm bushings, lower ball joints, and tie rod ends. The shocks, springs, swaybar, links, upper ball joints, and wheel bearing hubs have already been replaced. Everything else is still original. I think I will go with the Moog lower ball joints.

Just a note, Moog sources a lot of their parts, so they aren't always manufactured from a desired location. As an option, the Proforged units are highly recommended from the racing community and IIRC are made in the US. I believe they are the same ones 949Racing sells and cost the same as the Moog units on rockauto.

I have the FM butterfly brace from 2016, simple straightforward install. Along with Delrin door bushings, 200 TW tires, FM front sway and end links, the chassis handles anything I throw at it. Street driven in Florida (smooth roads} and handles fine. It's not like my FF, Elan S2 or kart, but perfect as a DD. Makes my annual trip to MATG a total blast.
