Full rise hydraulic automotive frame rail scissor lift.

Was at Grease Monkey today to get my wife's car an oil change and a tire rotation. It's been so miserably wet and humid that I did not feel doing it myself. They had this new lift which was awesome and would work in most garages. No need for footings and is surface mounted and could be a full rise unit. This is a similar unit and am looking for what they had. I went to take a picture of it and the manager had a conniption about taking pictures. Told him I was interested in his new lift but would not even answer questions about it. What a jerk and I told him I probably would not be back.

Still looking for that same unit which was good for 8,000 lbs.

Is there any way to lock it in place once it’s up? I could maybe trust it with a Miata but I would be weary to get under a full-sized Suburban.

Hey, $5.04K is an affordable price, but the addition of a second floor to your garage, to accomidate the lift Bernie, would not. I wonder would the county tax your property as a commercial property? What would your neighbors think? I have to agree with AO, those scissors legs look like a weak point.

The one posted is not the one I saw. Could not find that one and the arms were much more heavy duty. They have low and medium rise models too. Medium would be sufficient for me.

No tools. Must be some kind of mobile MOT inspection service.

The cars looks like a Mercedes, maybe the dealership offers home visits (inspections).

Re: Full rise hydraulic automotive frame rail scissor lift.

Any kind of lift is just a pipe dream for me unless I won the lottery or got a big home-improvement loan to raise the roof of my garage and pour a thicker concrete floor. I might look into that hydraulic set that raises the car two feet up but my Race Ramps and stands already do that with a little more effort.

Any higher than two feet and I’d be on my creeper reaching up but not able to touch anything. Of course I’d love a Bendpak lift to put my car 6ft high but for that much money for the lift and garage rebuilding costs, I could have a new, caged swimming pool where I’d rather be with a Piña Colada.
