If nobody has this seal puller for the crank seals it's a solid investment. The seals pop right out with no risk of damaging the crank.

    Re: Excessive crankcase pressure

I checked my oil today and it was half a quart down. It took just about 4-500 miles to blow that much out. Disconnected wastegate and wired it shut so no more boost. UK motors says they run their engines for two hours to check for water and oil leaks. If they have any they will let you know. This engine is supposed to be leak free. I will replace the rear main seal while it's out. Hopefully the front seals and wp will hold up for a while. I can change them in my driveway this winter. I'll replace the small coolant lines while it's out too. The clutch and flywheel have only about 20k on them and it should be fine. Flyin Miata stage 1. While it's out I'll do a coolant reroute. I've been looking at the ones on the market. I want one that has an extra threaded npt port for my dash temp gauge. I think I'm going to get the Q max. It's going to take awhile for the motor to get here, so I have time to get all the stuff I need for installation. I'll post my list and if anyone can think of anything I forgot, please, let me know.

How much more for the square top manifold?

That manifold was not available with this motor. The one that had the squaretop had 77k on it and they wanted $1100. I'm keeping the motor in the 200-210 hp, so having the squaretop wouldn't have done me much good anyway.

The reroute is a really good idea, especially if you have the motor out.

It dropped my temps by 60* on average

    Re: Excessive crankcase pressure

The UK had extremely strict inspections of cars. Even the slightest sign of rust the car fails inspection. If the rust is not completely removed and replaced with new metal the car fails inspection (MOT) and is removed from the road. UK motors somehow obtains these Miatas and parts out the best parts. I can't post the address on my phone, but if you go to Miata turbo.net and look under parts for sale, they have a long thread, where they list parts, as they're available. You should try mt.net just for casual reading. A lot of kooks on there.

Been to Bermuda and they have the same rules. No vehicles are allowed to have rust. Keeps the body shops busy especially due to the salt air.
