    Re: Fuel Injectors

A lot of cars are moving toward direct injection. Imagine working with that high-pressure system.

The 99-00 and 01-05 injectors are different. Mine are currently fine, but I am looiking for a spare set and have them serviced and tested so I can just swap them out when the time comes.

    Re: Fuel Injectors

I follow a few youtube engine rebuilders and the only reason they replace injectors is if they have a bad injector or they want to increase the performance of the engine by installing injectors that will deliver more fuel, this is done with adjustments to the ECU and in some cases replacing the electronic fuel pump, in any case they install injectors that are manufactured for the engine.

Just looking for a spare set when the time comes to swap them out. Would get them serviced and tested and would sit on the shelf until I or someone else needs them. Currently car runs fantastic and use injector cleaner every few months.

    Re: Fuel Injectors

Looking to buy a set of remanufactured injectors so I can do a swap out in the same day. Don't want to wait for mine to go out and come back. I can get a set from Rockauto that are OEM for $37.00 a piece. Have not touched my injectors so I am looking for comments from those that have swapped them out. Have 182,000 on the original injectors set and want to swap them out to maintain my reliability. There is a core charge.

Make sure you get all new seals. Are the Rock Auto injectors flow tested? You want them all close to each other. I had an injector not working properly prior to the new ones going in. I had a slight miss at idle.

    Re: Fuel Injectors

I’d be weary buying four individual injectors. I’d want a set of four that have been flow matched together.

    Re: Fuel Injectors

This is a good deal for flow tested and matched injectors.
