    Rotate tires?

I currently have my car up on jack stands to clean it. I was going to clean the wheels and rotate the tires. My front tires have only a few thousand on them. The rears maybe ten, they're not to the wear bars but maybe another four or five k, if I rotate them to the front. Should I leave the better tire in the front, especially for rain driving and just burn up the rears? Or should I do like the tire shop poster says and put the good ones on the rear?

    Re: Rotate tires?

My feeling is that I'd want the better tire for steering.

I kinda thought that too. Plus the rears have a tendency to spin at times, so I'll be buying a pair of tires in the near future anyway.

That makes more sense. If possible, get the rears sooner than later. I couldn't stand to have a pair of tires much newer than than the others.

Joe, are you running the stock 16" tires? If so, we have 3 really nice tires at shop that are take off's when someone replaced all 4 when they had a blow out. I can prolly give them too you.

I am using the stock 16s. If you'll hold them, I can come by with the rust bucket on Monday and pick them up.

I think they are stacked out behind the shop to be discarded. I won't be back to the shop until tuesday though
