How to dye vinyl or leather?

    Hi,

Just wanted to know, if anyone had experience dyeing leather or vinyl into another color.

I've seen online some spray cans that do the job... but don't know the final result.

I'm looking forward to dye some my red Nakamae parts into black or brown to match Mia's interior.

So far, people have recommended to use:

    2. http://www.leprevo.co.uk/leather-dyes.htm

    3. http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-117-lea ... ation.aspx

But I've found this superb vinyl product "SEM" used specially on boats, where due to climate conditions (sun, salt water, mold, etc...) the vinyl gets deteriorated... They say it doesn't chip or crack.

I would think that if I were in your part of the world, I would consult a shoe, boot or saddle maker. I would look for the oldest guy I could find, you know, someone whoes face looks like a saddle and ask them!

The old guys KNOW what will work, and it will not be in a spray can.

If I were doing it here, thats the first person I would track down for the best way to do it.
