This is from the Facebook post:

So I'd like to host our year end Miata Meet at Fort Desoto this year! We did this meet last year around July last year and it was a GREAT time! Let's do a pot luck grill n chill style meet. We'll figure out who's bringing what shortly.

For those heading from the North we can meetup at Publix on Roosevelt right off 275: Publix - 10496 Roosevelt Blvd N, St. Petersburg, FL 33716
Then continue on and cruise on in.

I would like to go. Anybody else?

I was tempted, as you know I am always ready for a road trip, but I have some home repair expenses and need the time to complete the work. My present health issue (both of us) has delayed the work. Maybe next time.

With no other interested and a 2 hour trip each way. I don't want to drive home in the dark either, so I'm most likely not going to go this time.

Looks like there is another Florida drive for a fee. It’s a little too far for most of us in SWFL but who knew one could make a few bucks organizing these things. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/drive-f...ts-49673239998

If I am not doing a tech day with Joe that day, I guess I will go by myself and represent the Gearheads. It's too big not to be part of it. It will be another sticker on my door.

Did you find any of the Suncoast guys to caravan with? Your car's too pretty to represent our entire club (: I'll talk to the wu, ( told here I wasn't going, she may have made plans) maybe I could meet you on 75 someplace.

I'll just have to close my eyes on the way home, so I don't see any critters. Between my air scoop, intercooler and radiator I've got almost $700 in aftermarket stuff in the front of my car. A tiny possum could take all of it out. You can understand my paranoia traveling back roads at night, and it gets dark at 5:30 or so now.
