Have yours been popping open? Mine were giving me problems when I got the car and ended up adding a tiny self tapping screw to hold it closed and haven't had any issues since. Those looks super nice, but I couldn't justify nearly $100 for a tiny little piece. I'll try to get a picture later for reference.

Saw the write up on that on Mnet. I get it it about the cost. In most cases that screw fix works. One of mine popped loose at 80 mph on I-75 on my way to Boone. Scared the crap out of me. Was glad the other one held even with all the turbulence. Had to pull over on shoulder to relatch it. Noticed it was not holding as tight as it use to.

I’d do the screw method before spending that kind of money, wow!

My latches were shot when they were 4 or 5 years old. I bought na latches and they've been tight so far. I didn't know enough to try and fix my originals.

I think this is an NB specific problem. I've never had a problem on an NA, but both my NBs have had the issue. Makes you wonder why they'd revise something that worked fine, to replace it with something that falls apart.

Old US Navy proverb: If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Paul could back me up on that one.
