Thanks to MM for coming over yesterday to help out with the transformer wiring. It was pretty confusing for me because wires changed color from the old transformer to the new. We got connected and then tested for voltage but what was weird is that with everything hooked up properly, my AC repeated an odd problem that caused me to replace parts in the first place. Originally, old thermostat did not kick on the AC and since I wanted a new, WiFi one anyway, I bought that and thought I wrecked it so I bought yet another new one.

After some testing on my own, I determined the transformer was not putting out 24V so that was replaced. Together with new transformer, thermostat and testing for voltage, the entire AC circuit was dead. MM and I were a little stunned how everything could test fine one second, not trip the twin 124V circuit breakers but still no power. I flipped the circuit breakers off and on a few times and finally, everything seemed energized again.

Long story short, I have AC now and mom is comfortable again (as am I!) so many thanks to MM for coming by early. It was really becoming a serious situation here.
