As a designer, the signage and display cohesiveness is pretty good...at least for a warehouse store.

So far, I’m just seeing the average Craftsman stuff, none of the “pro” items like fully polished wrenches.

Craftsman Tools at Lowe's: Bad News for Sears Holdings

I was at HD tonight with the wife, donít sleep on them with their tools. I saw a nice set of SAE and Metric ratcheting wrenches for $50 (on sale 1/2 off). Nice price if I didnít already have them.

I just went to check that out:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-SA...PCSM/205191132

Good price but like you, already have a set with repeats.

I really rely on discounts to build out my tool sets and home repair and updating. Lowes gives me ten percent while Sears lets me combine veteran’s discount with Craftsman sales, surprise cash and free cash (parts of their Shop Your Way program). If done right, I usually get what I want sixty percent off or free. Home Depot, on the other hand, hassles me for my veteran’s ID not saying “service connected” so I just stopped shopping there.

HD and Lowes are both ~5 minutes away. The HD is a neat little drive, taking the side roads. Second and third stores of each are less than 30 minutes, I check the inventories before I leave. The HD is easier to get to during rush hour, by far, and a Publix on the return (for sammies). The closest Lowes has a larger NAPA a block from it, so it all depends on what I need.

The local ACE converted to a douchey grill and Yeti dealer, so I have to drive further out for my Stihl stuff, but it's not too bad. Two ACE locations are 20-30 minutes away, DOT.
