    NB1/NB2 factory flywheel weight question

I was talking to Jack while spending three Saturdays working on his car. He put in an aftermarket lighter flywheel, but he told me the NB1 flywheels are 4 lbs heavier than the NB2's. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: NB1/NB2 factory flywheel weight question

I was under the impression all 1.8 flywheels were the same (94-05), but that could be wrong. I've got a 2000 flywheel in my garage I can weigh when I get home.

Have the NB2 flywheel from Jack. Will weigh and we can compare.

I'm sorry guys, but all this talk about flywheel weight cause my devious mind to think up all kinds of humorous questions to ask, what kind of flywheels do you like? svelte, full body, or heavy weight. When is a flywheel to heavy to fly?

Re: NB1/NB2 factory flywheel weight question

Took the flywheel I got from Jack's NB2 and weighed it on the commercial scale in our shipping/receiving department. It weighed 16.8 lbs. have to ask him exactly what year his is. Think its an 02.

According to Joe, his weighed 19 lbs and is an 01. Some things make you say hmm?

Re: NB1/NB2 factory flywheel weight question

I don't know if Joe used a bathroom scale for his 19 lb figure. I used a calibrated scale for mail and packages so i say that weight is spot on.
