Killer deal on AA & AAA batteries (July 31, 2017)

You don't need me to tell you how everything in our houses use AA and AAA batteries but I stumbled on this deal today and thought I'd pass it on (and it's nationwide):

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia...?skuId=4971901

Alkaline 60-packs for $8.99! I already ordered mine just to cinch the deal but will pick up tomorrow.

No affiliation and no, I don't get a kickback from Best Buy, heh heh.

Yes, that’s a great price for Alkalines, but do they last as long as Energizers or Duracell’s. I’ve purchase insignia AA from Bestbuy before but don’t last as long as Energizers or Duracell.

In my opinion, they're probably the same thing with a different label. I used to buy packs of Kirkland batteries at Costco and they lasted just as long as well as Amazon Basics. Before Radio Shack went out of business, I used to buy their 36-packs for $10 for Christmas and was still using them two years later. Nowadays, all batteries are alkaline anyway but I've never seen a 60-pack for $9. I'm set for another two or three years.

I agree with you, if the life span of the Insignia AA batteries is acceptable to you then a 60-pack for $9.00 is a great deal. I've tried all kinds of alternative brands of Alkaline AA and AAA and I've found that Energizers and Duracells give me the best life span of 50% longer than all other brands I've tried. I'm searching the internet for the best deal for a 100 pack of Energizers or Duracells at $35 to $40 per hundred so two 60 packs at $18 is very attractive.
