WTB Lighter than stock flywheel and or clutch setup

Not for me but have someone looking for a lightened stock flywheel. Maybe even a whole clutch deal for stock power level.

Another alternative is to have the stock flywheel lightened.
Where would one get that done locally and how much ??

Any decent machine shop can shave 8 to 10 pounds off an OEM flywheel. How light do they want ?

It's for a friends daughters car, nothing extreme.
Stock would work just fine but these engines are so much better to drive with a lighter flywheel and since we have her motor out,.....

Just remember, she's probably not a hot shoe, so, the OEM flywheel is probably best for her. Spend the money on good tires or pink fuzzy dice

At 15 she's already scared quite a few cones in her dads Corvette (one of the few that actually gets driven and not polished and parked). I'm sure she can handle a better clutch and lighter flywheel.
After all, our motors absolutely suck with the stock heavy one.

So, how much weight can be removed from the stock one ??

I am also in a similar situation. I am contemplating purchasing a light flywheel designed to be light. I feel if I just get it shaved at a machine shop that could compromise the structural integrity of the part.
