You said pricy, but I didn't think it was this pricy. wow. That will be a few weeks out before I get one.

Coming from the kid with a beautiful new Mazdaspeed...
Good meeting you today GR and welcome to our forum!
:woohoo what a good job & part! really like it! and like the idea of putting a bigger oil filter, that K&N one for which car is it? do you have the ref?
Thanks!
Right now I have a Mobil One oil filter on it and it is a number M1-110 which is for I believe a 2.5L Mazda V-6 used in the 626 and Millenia. I don't remember the K&N equivalent, but if you want the number I will get it for you.Originally Posted by Tristan75

I read all the reviews on all the other relocation kits and this one is the only one that did not leak. I think with the base mounted on the horizontal surface rather then the vertical is much more secure and stable. I don't mind spending the extra money for quality and longevity. The FM kit mounted on the gentlemens white NB looked a little flimsy to me. The Thompson base is machined out of solid billet aluminum.Originally Posted by GR_MSM

Better check to see if you have that area clear on a MSM. You have a whole diferent animal there. The are existing holes where the base mounts on a standard NB and the hoses are sized to use the existing holes on the base.Originally Posted by GR_MSM

Thanks minuteman :)
Installed this in May of 2011 so my hoses are over 8 years old. Ordered a set replacement hoses and O-ring for the adapter. On a side note, it looks like the old photobucket photos have been reinstated, but are out of focus. Have to look into it.
Page 2 has the photos.
